Teaching of
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar

So friends today I am going to discuss about the life, achievements and about some inspiring things said by sir Ambedkar. So let’s start.

His full name was “Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar”, he was born on 14th April, 1891.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was the great achiever as he has the degree of MA in about 12 subjects and many more, also he was a lawyer and has many degrees in different different fields. After the India got independence Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar become the first law minister of our India and also he was the chairmen of the Drafting committee of our India. The constitution of our India was also written by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

He has done many more for development of our country and also he has ran the campaign against social discrimination, Untouchables and also supported the rights of the woman and labour. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was posthumously awarded with the “Bharat Ratna Award”, India’s highest civilian award in year 1990. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was expired on 6 December 1956.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar has given us a new way to think, grow and develop. There are many quotes written by Dr. Ambedkar, His thinking was that the women are the most important part of society, she plays a vital role in the development of community. His one of the quote was that the “I measure the progress of community by the degree of progress which women has achieved”. It means that He use to measure the progress of community only when the vital part of our community will make progress and that vital part is a woman. He also says that the “life should be great full rather than long” and to make our life great rather than long he left over one word for us and that is “VIDHYA” vidhya means nothing but the knowledge. He use to think that knowledge is the thing which makes the man great. And I have tried to take out the long form of the word vidhya.

V   stands for “vital”
I    stands for “Innovation”
D  stands for “Discovery”
H  stands for “honesty”
Y  stands for “Your own identity”
A  stands for “Ability”

So now let’s take a look no these terms; first is ‘V’ for ‘Vital’ vital means, ‘very important’ knowledge helps us or gives us the vital status in our society, in this time or we can say in this era of innovation, the person with knowledge has a great importance and demand in society.

Next is ‘I’ for ‘Innovation’ innovation means, to take out something by creating new ideas. Innovation means to do inventions to make our day to day life more comfortable and simple. And innovation can only done if there is knowledge means vidhya.

Next is ‘D’ for ‘Discovery’ discovery means to navigate or take out of something or to do research. Human has reached up to the Moon and now he is trying for Mars and after that he will try for something bigger, he has studied the structure of Earth, Moon and many more and now he is looking after universe to be navigated or discover, so; this is discovery and discovery can’t be done without knowledge.

Next is ‘H’ for ‘Honesty’ it is simple that we learn good and the learning good is only a knowledge, so; if we learn good we will behave good.

Next is ‘Y’ for ‘Your own status’ This also too simple that if we will be educated we will own our own identity, people in our society will identify us with a positive attitude, people will know our name, people will know us only because of our education.

Next is ‘A’ for ‘Ability’ having knowledge about something makes us able to work. Means that we not be dependent on any one for our work we will be the self-worker for any work and for any situation. He helps to survive us in this world and manage our day to day life.

So, these were some things to learn about ‘Vidhya’

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar has not only left word ‘vidhya’ but also there are two more words and they are ‘Vinay’ and ‘Sheel’. So now let’s learn about ‘Vinay’.

Vinay means ‘Behaviour’. We can recognize a good or bad person directly by his behaviour, our behaviour gives us a separate identity and also the behaviour of a person standing in front of us, is depend on our behaviour, let me explain; if we behave good with other then others will also behave good with us so if you give good you will get good. One of the English Author has written a very wonderful poem named as “The Three Rules” in this poem he has written about the three rules of behaviour and they are ‘Iron rule’, ‘Silver rule’ and ‘Golden rule’ Iron rule says that the person who hurts anyone he follows the Iron rule, the person who hurts anyone only when he is being hurt by someone follows the silver rule and the person who at all do not try to hurt anyone even if he is being hurt by someone he follows the Golden rule. So, Babasaheb Ambedkar has taught us to follow the golden rule to behave like a human and there should be the humanity in the ones behaviour which represents us that we are the humans.

Sheel means the character. You all know about the character, character is the thing which represents our personality and the good personality is the good impression. The person having a bad character is treated with the sense of having the bad touch and feels uncomfortable to be with the person having a bad character. Our personal respect is also depend upon our character. So, it is very important to have a good character to have our own personal respect and to be in the touch of other peoples.

These were the three things to which we can say the mantras of getting wise and make our own status in the community and also to become a perfect human and to be the good citizen. The teachings of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar are much inspiring and if we will run on this path there will be a miracle in our life.
                                Thank you
